I slowly build these vessels entirely by hand, using coils - an ancient traditional pottery technique. I then patiently sculpt each hand and each finger that gently embraces the shape.
The contrast between shiny and soft matte surfaces brings forward the character and texture of both. The form of this ornamental vase evokes sweet memories of touch and the warmth of tactile connectedness.
